We collect information you voluntarily provide through appointment requests, contact forms, and account registration, together with limited technical information (such as IP address and device type) needed to operate the site securely. We use this information to provide and improve our services, to communicate with you, and to meet legal and safety obligations.

Protected Health Information (PHI) that you share through a clinical visit is handled under HIPAA-aligned safeguards and is stored in our electronic medical-records system. Access is restricted to your care team. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share PHI with family members, employers, or community members without your written authorization, except as required by law (for example, mandated reporting or court orders).

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable record-retention laws. To make a request, email habeshahealthconnect@gmail.com. Residents of California, the EU/UK, and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under local law.

Terms of Service

By using Habesha Health Connect (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. You must be 18 or older to create an account, or the parent or legal guardian of any minor for whom you request care. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful purposes.

Submitting an appointment request or using the AI chat does not create a clinician-patient relationship. A clinician-patient relationship is established only after a licensed clinician accepts your request, completes an evaluation, and documents the encounter in accordance with applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Habesha Health Connect is provided on an "as is" basis and we disclaim all warranties not expressly granted. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law (including non-waivable consumer or patient rights).

Medical information

Information on this website, including blog posts, health updates, and the AI chat assistant ("Selam"), is for general informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified clinician with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

The Service does not prescribe controlled substances. Prescriptions for non-controlled medications are issued only when clinically appropriate and only by clinicians licensed in your jurisdiction. Infusion, hydration, and patient-transport services described on this website are arranged through licensed partner facilities; Habesha Health Connect does not directly administer infusions or operate medical-transport vehicles.

AI assistant ("Selam")

Selam is an artificial-intelligence assistant. It is not a licensed clinician and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Conversations with Selam may be logged to improve safety and quality. Do not share sensitive personal health information through the chat that you would not want stored. In an emergency, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number.

Jurisdictional availability

Medical services are offered only in jurisdictions where Habesha Health Connect clinicians are licensed and authorized to practice. Provider availability varies by location and by applicable laws and regulations. We may decline a request if no licensed clinician is available in your jurisdiction.

Clinical services are under development and may not currently be available in all locations. General health information and educational content are available globally; clinical care is not.

Information on our Careers and Mentorship pages about international medical graduate (IMG) pathways, licensing, immigration, and continuing medical education is provided for general guidance only. Requirements change frequently and vary by jurisdiction. It is not legal, immigration, or professional-licensing advice.
