Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 4, 2026
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or captions.
What we aim for
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as a target. We describe this as a goal we work toward, not a certified conformance claim.
In practice that means: every page is reachable by keyboard, focus is visible, headings follow a logical order, form fields have labels, images have text alternatives, and loading, error, and success messages are announced to assistive technology.
Known limitations
Health News pulls headlines from external organizations; we cannot control the accessibility of those third-party pages.
Scheduling happens on CharmHealth, a third-party service with its own accessibility practices.
Long-form legal and program pages are currently English-only while qualified Amharic and Tigrinya translations are prepared.
Language access
The interface can be switched between English, Amharic, and Tigrinya. If a page you need is only in English, email us and a team member will explain it in Amharic or Tigrinya.
Report a barrier or request help
Email habeshahealthconnect@gmail.com with the page address and what happened. Tell us the assistive technology you use if that is relevant. We aim to respond within one business day — a target, not a guarantee — and we will offer an alternative way to complete anything the site blocks.

This service is not for emergencies. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, thoughts of self-harm, or any life-threatening symptom, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency department.
